My name is Ionia, and this is my new blog, Artful Things.

After a long break from WordPress, where I’ve run my book blogging site (Readful Things) https://readfulthingsblog.wordpress.com for many years, I’m back and doing something a little different.

In the background of books and reviews and all things reading, I’ve been an artist for many years. I do acrylics and mixed media, pen and ink work, but my heart lies in watercolor.

I’ve started this blog to connect with others who have the same interest, from absolute beginners to advanced professionals

I intend to fill this site (eventually) with art product reviews, friendly conversation and tutorials and everything else related to watercolor. My hope is that this will be a positive place for artists to discuss their works, for beginners to pick up tips and for a community of likeminded individuals to come together and help one another on their art journeys.

I’m looking forward to meeting all you artists out there and seeing your work, learning together and hopefully growing a new community. Negativity not allowed in this space. Support, friendship, mentorship and positive feedback encouraged.
