Mini artist mini art

I’m between serious projects at the moment so I’ve been challenging myself to do all kinds of weird things I don’t normally do.

This morning my project was painting a mini landscape. I’ve done lots of smaller works before but this is a new small. 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

Size comparison below

It was interesting. Certainly not my best work. However, it was a lot of fun. Plus, I’m a little artist both metaphorically and literally. 5ft tall. I think because of this I gravitate toward miniatures.

Have you tried a tiny painting? anything else in miniature? What did you think?

      1. I think that is one of those aspects of trying different things like this, that idea of working within certain constraints, this time size, that can lead to a certain freedom.
