What a day yesterday was.

Well…it’s done.

Halfway through completing these poppies…there was a situation.

It was the kind of situation that only seems to happen in the one room where your desk is located.

In this particular instance it was power related. A wrongly connected wire in a socket (at least I didn’t install it) caused all the power in that room to go out and try as my husband might (and did,) it would not flip back on.

So…I did what any sane, rational artist would do. I painted in the gloom of the room in front of a window without my studio lights.

So if this painting looks a bit off, that is my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I was actually the fortunate one. My husband’s job requires use of the internet and the computer all the time.

And this after I stepped out of the shower and my bichon frisé decided it would be a good time to mark his territory on my foot. Dogs.

In any case, painting is done. Electrical fixed. Foot washed.

What will today hold? Always an adventure.

  1. Sounds wild. At least you’ve been claimed by a puppers. Timing could have been better.

      1. I am, yes. Very happily, to an incredible, beautiful, talented woman that looks exactly like you. Oh wait, it is you.
