Seeing the world in a different way

Notice the claw marks on the tree 🐻

As I get older, I begin to realise there is a difference between looking and really seeing what’s around you.

When I’m out doing daily things, I might be looking, so I don’t run into things, but much of what I take in goes straight out of my head instantly.

On a trip like this, when surrounded by nature, beauty, all of the lovely sights and sounds and scents, I slow down and appreciate. I really begin to see.

Art brain kicks in and I pay attention to details I wouldn’t normally notice. I feel the place I am in on a much different level than in my hasty, day to day life.

Take a moment today. No matter where you are. Really notice. Really see. Spend a moment appreciating what normally passes you by.

I wish you happiness and peace in whatever adventure you find yourself on.

  1. Scary bear claws. Great advice to really observe not just see.

  3. *looks around school cafeteria* I might have to wait until I’m at the park with the bunnies and geese. Good idea for that.
